Right down the street from our Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, Corporate Offices, and Ice Cream and Chocolate Factory Outlet, the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro work together to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
All proceeds from this tournament go directly to support the amazing and innovative programs of the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro including academic enrichment, sports, art, and STEM programs.

Iconic player-designer Jack Nicklaus, winner of 18 Professional Major Championships, chose this pristine swath of terrain as the site of his first Northern California golf course, etching one of his most imaginative championship layouts ever into the Livermore Valley amidst more than 53 picturesque vineyards.
Towering oaks frame all-weather Bermuda grass fairways and Nicklaus’ signature wide, contoured Crenshaw bent grass greens, with numerous elevation changes, breathtaking vistas and magnificent water features creating both strategic diversity and a stunning backdrop for golf. Come enjoy this adventurous par-72 course, which measures 7,400 yards from the Nicklaus tees – making it the longest golf course in Northern California.

As I step into my new role, I wanted to re-introduce an old classic at this year’s edition of the Ghirardelli Golf Classic: the Beat the Prez Long Drive Challenge. This is a great way for me to say hello and spend a few minutes with each of you on the course, raise some extra money for our cause and add back some good old competitive fun. While you probably could not beat our former CEO in a long-drive challenge, the smart money will be on you to step up and give it a try with me. Winners will earn an obnoxiously large “I Beat The Prez” pin to wear at dinner (and every time you see me in the future) and four coupons for free Ghirardelli Sundaes. All proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro, and I will see you on Hole 1 right next to the Ghirardelli World Famous Hot Fudge Sundaes.
