The Ghirardelli Golf Classic raises money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro.

Right down the street from our Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, Corporate Offices, and Ice Cream and Chocolate Factory Outlet, the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro work together to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
All proceeds from this tournament go directly to support the amazing and innovative programs of the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro including academic enrichment, sports, art, and STEM programs.

Ruby Hill is located in the San Francisco Bay Area in the Livermore Valley surrounded by more than 50 vineyards and is designed by Jack Nicklaus, winner of 18 Professional Major Championships.
Towering oaks frame all-weather Bermuda grass fairways and Nicklaus’ signature wide, contoured Crenshaw bent grass greens, with numerous elevation changes and breathtaking vistas that create a stunning backdrop. This adventurous par-72 course, which measures 7,400 yards from the Nicklaus tees, is the longest golf course in Northern California.

When I enjoy a Ghirardelli World Famous Hot Fudge Sundae or eat a championship pulled pork slider, it tastes even more delicious when I know it’s giving back to our community.

We’re expecting to sell out the tournament again this year, and our sponsorship opportunities will be the first to open this spring. Commitment to a sponsorship at Silver Level (5k) and above will also give you access to purchase add-on golfers and foursomes before they go on sale. Later in the summer, if still available, we’ll open individual golfer spots and foursomes not included in sponsorships for purchase.
At the event when I try to out-drive all of you great people in the Beat the Prez Challenge and generate even more money for the Boys & Girls Clubs, it will feel even sweeter when I win when I know it contributes to the neighborhoods of San Leandro and beyond. The funds we bring in will really make an impact for kids and families, putting more dollars into programs that enrich academics, sports, art, science, technology, and career readiness.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro believes that every child has the potential to BE GREAT, and we couldn’t agree more. All proceeds from the Ghirardelli Golf Classic go directly to support the Boys and Girls Club’s programs and initiatives, serving more than 6,200 young people, ages 4-18.
We are incredibly proud of our 24-year partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro. Whether outfitting and organizing the Ghirardelli Culinary Corner at the Teen Center with kitchen supplies or serving World Famous Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sundaes at The Boys and Girls Club fundraising Gala or putting on the annual Ghirardelli Golf Classic to raise money for Club programs, we are proud to support the Club and support opportunities for our employees to engage in the community to raise money, donate product and volunteer their time.
